Professor Ullah is a consultant cardiologist specialising in electrophysiology (the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders) and the implantation and management of devices such as pacemakers. His clinical NHS practice is based in the renowned electrophysiology department at University Hospital Southampton.

He was born in London and qualified from Guy’s King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine in 2003 with a distinction in clinical subjects and also has a BSc in Neurosciences (First Class Honours). His training as a junior doctor was in London and the South East and his electrophysiology and devices training was at several prestigious centres including St Thomas Hospital, Harefield Hospital and St Bartholomew’s Hospital, under the supervision of leaders in the field.
