Dr. Christopher Piorkowski serves as the divisional vice president and chief medical officer of the electrophysiology (EP) division at Abbott. He graduated in medicine from Charite Berlin and trained in internal medicine, cardiology and EP at the Heart Center Leipzig, Germany.

Prior to joining Abbott, Dr. Piorkowski established and led the Department of EP at the University of Dresden, elevating it to an internationally acclaimed center of medical excellence. With a portfolio of over 275 scientific publications, Dr. Piorkowski has had a significant impact on the field of EP, pioneering innovative ablation techniques and driving medical technology advancements.
